Khaver Qureshi

Khaver Qureshi is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based at Gartnavel General Hospital and the Western Infirmary. He was educated in London and graduated from Saint Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College, London. The University of Newcastle awarded his MD for his thesis on bladder cancer. Having trained in Birmingham, Newcastle and Sheffield was appointed in 2004 to develop laparoscopic urology for Greater Glasgow and Clyde [GGC].

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and previously Clinical Lead for the West of Scotland Urological Cancer Managed Clinical Network. He has published widely on prostate and bladder cancer and currently the Clinical Director of Urology for GGC.

Since appointment Mr. Qureshi has mentored/trained several colleagues in laparoscopic techniques. His main sub-specialist interest is in renal cancer and the treatment of male and female lower urinary tract symptoms. He has seven years of experience in microsurgical reversal of vasectomy and consults at Ross Hall and the Glasgow Nuffield Hospitals. He lives in Helensburgh with his wife and three children.
